Cal State LA has been selected to serve as a Los Angeles County Vote Center in California’s November 4 Statewide Special Election.

No matter where they live, voters in Los Angeles County will be able to cast their ballots for an extended voting period at any Vote Centers located across the county, instead of at a single designated polling place on Election Day.

The Cal State LA Vote Center will be open Saturday, November 1, through Election Day on Tuesday, November 4.

The center will be located in the University Library, Palmer Wing, on the fourth floor of the building. Hours of operation, parking information, and other details can be found on the Cal State LA Vote Center webpage.

“Elections are one of the most important pillars of democracy, and Cal State LA is honored to be part of the process,” said Cal State LA President Berenecea Johnson Eanes. “We wholeheartedly encourage the participation of our students, staff, faculty, and community neighbors. Every vote counts!”

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s Office also has an official ballot drop box permanently installed on campus to encourage more college students to vote. The drop box is located near Lot 4, across from the Career Center. All registered Los Angeles County voters can drop off their vote-by-mail ballots in the box. No postage is needed. The box is designed to meet all security features required by the California Secretary of State.

Free visitor parking for voters—including accessible parking spaces—will be available in the upper level of Structure C. Accessible parking is also available in Lot 4. If at capacity, please see information on the visitors parking webpage.

Californians must be registered to vote at least 15 days before Election Day. Registration must be postmarked or submitted electronically no later than Oct. 20, 2025. For this date and other important election deadlines, go to election dates and resources webpage
